The Holly Oak Team – 2026

As well as Mat, Kane and Alex D we have a valuable team comprising of James, Alex G, Max and Daniel who all work exceptionally hard and to the highest of standards to ensure that a good, quality service is always delivered to clients.

James started working for Holly Oak Tree Services in July 2020 and is one of our fantastic groundsmen. Since joining the team James has gained several qualifications including CS30 (Competence in chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting), CS31 (fell and process small trees), Level 2 Award in the safe use of woodchippers and Level 2 Award in the safe use of stump grinders. James is trained in First Aid +F and continues to build on his knowledge and skills daily.

Alex G joined us initially to gain experience on an ad hoc basis; he impressed us with his skills and knowledge of arboriculture and started working for Holly Oak Tree Services full time in July 2025. Alex came to us with several qualifications and continues to build on this knowledge and skill set and is proving to be a great arborist. Alex is trained in First Aid.

Max is the newest member to join us as a groundsman and started with us in November 2025, Max has previous experience of groundwork within the arboricultural sector and wishes to continue to increase his skills and knowledge and progress to becoming an arborist in the future. Max is trained in First Aid +F.

Daniel has been with us for over a year as a work placement and is learning everything there is to know about being a competent and professional arborist. He shows enthusiasm and commitment, and it is a pleasure to have him as part of the team as he begins his journey into arboriculture.
